Sammamish, Washington is a city of 65,000 located on the shores of Lake Sammamish in the Snoqualmie valley. After years as a part of unincorporated King County, the city was incorporated in 1999. Since then it has been named the most affluent city in the US with a population over 65,000.
The city’s official motto is "Building Community Together," and in 2012 Sammamish topped Forbes’ list of America’s Friendliest Towns.
